What wall thickness is required for a residential home?

For permanent residence in a house made of laminated veneer lumber, we recommend glued laminated veneer lumber with a minimum thickness of 202 mm. This wall thickness has the necessary thermal conductivity and is optimal for year-round living in the house. Heating costs in houses with such a thickness of the timber will be minimal.

 

What kind of wood do you make beams from?

We make glued laminated timber from pine or spruce wood growing in the taiga zone of forests. 

 

Can I see the factory?

To inspect the production, you must agree on the time of arrival with our managers. We will be happy to give you a tour of our production and will try to answer your questions.

 

How many years can a glued laminated timber house stand?

For a house made of laminated veneer lumber, subject to the basic rules of operation, competent maintenance and care, even 100 years is the usual service life.

 

Is it possible to make a change to a typical project and how much does it cost?

It is possible to make changes to a typical project. The designer can change the project in accordance with the wishes of the customer. The cost of the changes depends on the volume of the changes themselves and the time it will take to implement them. Each of our projects is individual and created taking into account your wishes.

 

How is the payment for the house made?

Payment methods are discussed directly with our managers.

 

Is it possible to buy only walls for the house?

Yes you can. You can purchase a house kit and all the necessary components for self-construction from our company.

 

What is included in the price of the "basic house kit"?

The cost of the basic kit includes the "House kit" (load-bearing frame made of laminated veneer lumber, floor beams, rafter system, molded products).

 

Do you build turnkey houses?

Do you work with individual projects?

How much does a house project cost?

What are the terms of building a house?

The approximate construction period of a house with a total area of ​​200 sq.m., for "finishing" finishing - about 3 months. Our record for the construction of a house with an area of ​​96 sq.m., "turnkey", is 14 calendar days !!!

 

What kind of windows do you install in your houses?

We are guided by the wishes and capabilities of our customers. We can always offer a choice of wood, aluminum or PVC windows.

 

Which teams will build the house?

The teams that assemble the house are qualified specialists with at least 10 years of experience in this field. All workers have Russian citizenship.

Is it possible to order stairs and platbands according to your project?

Yes, you can.

 

Is it possible to immediately proceed to finishing after construction?

It is possible, provided that a stable microclimate is created inside the room (an established temperature and humidity regime).

 

Is it possible to make the outer walls 242 mm and the inner ones thinner, for example 162 or 202 mm?

It is possible, but we recommend to make external and internal walls from a bar of the same section, for uniform shrinkage of the structure. The minimum allowable difference in the thickness of the timber, no more than 40 mm.

 

Where does the team live during construction?

The team lives at the construction site (site) in our change house specially equipped for living.

 

What is the maximum beam length you can produce?

The maximum length of the beams produced is 13.5 meters.

 

Does glued laminated timber crack?

If the recommended temperature and humidity conditions are not observed, filamentous cracks may appear along the solid wood. This is a normal process.

 

How many years have you been building houses?

What glue is used for gluing the timber?

Only the most environmentally friendly and high quality glue system 1257/7557 manufactured by AkzoNobel (Sweden) is used for gluing the timber.

 

Is glue harmful?

The glue is not harmful.

 

Does the bar tear along the glue line?

The strength of the glue line is higher than that of wood.

 

Why treat house parts with an antiseptic?

They antisept wood in order to protect it from fungal infections, from insect damage, and also to ensure its safety during storage and during work.

 

Why end face machining?

The ends of laminated veneer lumber are most susceptible to intensive moisture exchange. Due to the intense loss of moisture through the ends, cracks may appear on them. To avoid the appearance of such defects, the ends of parts in our production are processed with a special compound Teknol-Jrm (Finland).

 

When should a house be painted?

The house must be painted immediately after assembly, if the temperature permits (the average daily temperature is not lower than +7 degrees Celsius). If the house was assembled in the cold season, then it is better to preserve it-process special. compositions, and after the establishment of positive temperatures, paint.

 

What kind of insulation does the manufacturer recommend?
